Ded To Me

Swimming through a sea of molasses left my body feeling tired, limp and sore. I blinked my eyes open to realize I must have been dreaming in an unconscious state. As soon as I started to lift my head up, I felt the all too familiar knot on the back of my head. There, next to my mattress on the ground was a steel pole. A steel pole I had been chained to before. It all looked so familiar. Had I been dreaming. Am I dreaming now? Is the sick fuck going to come down here and rape me again for the millionth time? I felt my face flush with fury, an anger I knew would lead to disaster if I clammed up like I had before with him. How brutal he would get each time he forced himself into me. I nearly screamed, feeling the bile rise up in my throat. My breathing started to hitch in my chest, feeling the fear of my captivity once again breaking the surface. I imagined him running down the stairs with his hard cock bouncing with each step.

The smell is what snapped me back to reality. It didn’t smell like his basement. The months that I spent confined to that little space allowed me to see things were different. I rubbed the spot on the back of my head again realizing the foggy memory was starting to come back to me. The image of being led into the church where a large statue of Jesus hung upside down with razor wire wrapped around him like a cocoon. Then the sharp crack of the butt of the gun hit the back of my head.

Pulling on the heavy chain, the rattling echoed off the concrete walls of the basement. The only light, sifted through the cracks of the basement door, hardly illuminating the dark stale room. I grabbed the chain again, shaking it in frustration. I realized they had a padlock around the pole, locking it in place. The leather cuff around my ankle bit into my skin leaving a red welt from the tight constraint.

“Fucking bitches,” I muttered to no one in particular.

“Shhhhh,” someone hushed.

“Who’s there,” I asked.

“Shut your goddamn mouth or he will come. Be quiet,” another voice quivered.

I sat there for a good minute trying to allow my eyes to adjust to the darkness enough so I could see who or what was on the other side of the room.

“How many of you are there,” I asked.

“God damn it woman, shut your fucking mouth,” an old man demanded.

“Yeah,” a chorus of voices gathered in.

In the darkness I counted at least eight different male voices and countless others that didn’t say anything. “Fuck you too,” I yelled not giving a fuck who heard. I sank back down onto my mattress looking at the cuff on my leg, searching for a weakness I could exploit.

Suddenly, the basement door flung open. The hard soles of boots trudged down the wooden steps with purpose.
